For a while now I have been looking a different ways to make some money online. There are many ways to do it, but as I have found out, It’s not as easy as some might make you believe. I tried Adwords pay per click advertising, which did work up to a certain extent. The only problem there was, If you get that wrong… you can lose a lot of money quickly, not make it.

A few months ago. My luck changed when I discovered Wordpress and blogging. Wordpress is a very easy platform to get into and understand. With it you can create great looking sites and blogs, even if you have no experience with website design. I have none, and found things very easy to pick up.

The way to approach it and make money with Wordpress is to pick a subject you are passionate about. Have a great knowledge and love for, and base your Wordpress site on this subject. This way when you write the articles and posts that will become the content for your site. Your writing will be easy and free. It will not be a chore, it will be fun. Don’t be afraid of this part. Once you have written 4-5 articles. It will get a lot easier.

Once you have done this, you will need to monetize your site, as well as the great content you have created.

1 - You could use what is known as Adsense.

These are sponsered ads from Google that can populate certain parts of your site. When people visit your site, and click on these ads, you make money. The only problem with Adsense is you will have to put up many sites to make any real money from it.

2 – Affiliate products.

With affiliate marketing, you create a link on your site that sends people to a product on a merchant site that is relevant to the general theme of your site. If anyone buys this product, you get paid a commission. This is my personal favourite approach. If you get this right, you can make a lot of money. You just need to pick the right product

3 – Auction ads

This is another method that can prove quite profitable. You place a piece of code on your Wordpress blog from EBay or Amazon auction networks, and this will create auction listings on your site. How cool is that? Yet again, you get paid per commission.

These are just a few examples of how to make money with Wordpress. The results are better if you install Wordpress on your own hosting. This can be as cheap as $8 a month, with domains as cheap as $8-10 a year. Trust me, It’s worth it.

Another thing to remember. The search engines love wordpress. By using this platform, you will find yourself getting ranked much faster, which will lead to more traffic. More traffic means more sales.
