Starting To Make Money Online

How can you really build an income using online marketing, what do I have to do in order to get the best results?

It is rather easy to become disoriented in online advertising, especially with everybody telling you that this thing or that thing is the Golden key to riches. Unfortunately, you don’t know where to do to start, or even what to do to get better results?

Firstly, you need to understand that not everybody is right and when they are all telling you different things, how can they all be right..

Ask yourself how many of the great ideas that you have read about have you actually implemented? And just out of curiosity, did any of those programs or idea’s turn your online business around?

For most people the answer is no. Don’t be too hard on yourself, it’s not your fault and help is right around the corner. Let’s just figure out where you are at right now.

For the newbies: Do you have a Domain Name? Do you have a website or blog? Do you have an auto responder?

Been in Internet marketing for 6 months: How big is your email list? How often do you send email’s to your list, daily? How many products do you have or promote?

For people who have been doing this over 1 year: How responsive is your list? What is your SERP? For every dollar you spend on advertising what do you get back? Are you making enough online to quit your day job?

Now this is just a short list of questions, there are a lot more, but this should have your wheels turning.

To improve on these things you need to look at how well you are executing the basics Are you putting in enough time on the items that will help you support and grow your online business. And how much time do you spend chasing your tail or the latest super hot technique.

Just so you know, most of the “new” programs and services that you read about online everyday, are nothing more than fluffed up stuff of the things that really work.

If your online business is not where you thought it would be by now, then you need to take a step back and figure out why, and then take the appropriate steps to change what you are doing and devote time to do what really works.

So how do you know how best to prioritize your time? Do what the professionals do and keep a diary. Now this may not sound very cool but it works and has worked for a lot of people for a very long time.

This is really simple to do, the question is are you going to do it to improve your Internet business.

Once you set this program up, make sure you do what you have set your time aside to do, whether it is setting up new email’s to be sent out in your auto responder so you are promoting more than 1 product, or better email’s to get people to take another look at your product again.

Have you website really leave an impression on your visitors, submit some more articles to the article directories, and be active in forums related to your niche products.

Now all of these basic things will make you money. Once you are making money with the basics, you can then start adding new forms of advertising and stick with the ones that work. Now when adding new ways and new techniques for advertising, make sure that it is something you are willing to do everyday without it irritating you.

If you write down your goals in your journal you will also need to write down what actions you need to take to reach your goals, once this is done you can concentrate on improving and growing your own online business, instead of reading more email’s that promise you that you will get rich when you buy there program.

When you are making money these things become more enjoyable and you feel inspired to take it do the next level. So be kind to yourself, decide exactly what you want to do, decide when you are going to do it and then do it.

Web Marketing Secrets Of A Successful Internet Business Finally Revealed

Internet advertising today is becoming increasingly complex with each passing day. It seems that finding and implementing effective methods of both on and offline marketing are changing at an ever faster rate. This is creating information over-load that can lead to paralysis-by-over-analysis for the typical internet business owner.

With the extreme changes to our economy over the last few years it makes achieving a comfortable income very challenging for today’s business women and men.

I would like to explain how today’s small business internet marketing managers can easily add an additional revenue streem to their current operation. I would also like to show them that thru this system they can learn simplifed marketing methods. These offline and online internet marketing advertising methods are easy to implement and very effective.

Here are some of today’s most common marketing practices and the problems associated with them.

1. Pay-Per-Click: Also known as ppc marketing. This is where the web marketing firm places ads on Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. and they pay a pre-determined amount for each visitor that clicks on their ad. This can be a good way to reach targeted prospects for your goods or service. It can also be very complex and frustrating as the search engines, especially Google, change their algorithms quite frequently. For example, back in December 2009, Google banned over 100,000 advertisers from their network. Many of these were long-time web marketing businesses that have advertised for many years.

2. Social marketing, A.K.A. web 2.0 marketing: This is where you create accounts at places such as: Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Squidoo, Hubpages, etc. and create a profile of yourself and what it is that you do. The great thing about this type of marketing is that you’re creating relationships with prospects. The difficult part is creating a profile that is optimized for the various sites. Not only that, but you are spending tremendous amounts of time trying to get a bunch of followers so you can eventually sell them something. Also it seems that once you develop followers it can be hard to keep them by attrition. I.E. fads come and go and right now it seems Twitter is the in fad, but how much longer will it last?

3. You can place ads on classified sites like Craigslist, Backpage, Kijiji, etc. The hard part is spending hours each day placing these ads. It seems as if everyone else on these sites are doing the exact same thing: trying to sell something and having no interest in buying anything from your internet business.

4. Offline Advertising: This is advertising in Newspapers, Magazines, Television, etc. These methods can be very effective for the small business internet marketing sector. Your ad can be displayed to thousands of readers in a short amount of time. The hard part is developing an ad that develops many prospects in a short amount of time as this type of advertising can be very expensive.

Now that we’ve reviewed some of the more common offline and web marketing methods, I feel it best to move on to some relatively unknown marketing strategies that can produce results that are both rapid and lucrative.

1. Broadcasting with a Fax: You can send out fax broadcasts to many targeted prospects for very little expense. The fax can produce rapid results.

2. Postcard mailing: With most all businesses advertising on the internet today, most have forgotten that direct mailing of postcards, when sent to a targeted list, can be the best way to connect with your target market in a low-cost way. Not only that, but your competition is low and prospects love having something in their hands.

3. Email Marketing: This was extremely popular a few years ago, but has lost it’s marketing steam since the 2003 Can Spam act. However, if you were to get a list of people that have given their permission to receive email offers that are targeted to their individual interests, you will be AMAZED at their level of high response!
