Internet theft should concern everyone but especially those that have children that use the internet or will soon. The internet is a fantastic way to learn the latest news, do research for school projects and communicate with friends but it can also be very dangerous.
It is the parents responsibility to make sure that a child visits safe areas online. A child should never know more about the internet than the parent does. You should at the very least know about the same.
If you attempt to block adult themed websites that have offensive material, it would not be good if your child knows how to get around the parental block. That is why it is important that you know how to use a computer and the internet.
Another good reason why you should have knowledge of the internet and computer use is because you are better able to fully understand the dangers of the internet. You may hear that an internet predator approached a child on the news. You may assume that will never happen to your child, but it is better to be safe than sorry.
A child on the internet can be very vulnerable, playing a game or researching a paper online. A common mistake would be your child accidentally stumbling into a porn site, getting into malicious web pages that infect your computer, mistakenly deleting your own computer’s files.
Mistakes like these can happen and your child may not know about them. If they do happen you may not be told for fear of punishment.
There are some activities that you can do with your kids that will in effect allow you to supervise their actions online. If that is not possible, you can always monitor their computer use. Which sites they visit, the activities they do online. If they use e-mails and chat rooms, pay attention to who they are corresponding with and how well they seem to know them.
Children should be aware of the dangers online. They should be able to recognize suspicious behavior or activities on the internet. Knowledge is truly the best defense. This will help you and the child set boundaries for their computer use. Hopefully you will be able to avoid any type of internet theft with the proper knowledge.
The computer should be in an open area of the house where anyone can monitor everyone’s computer activities. It will deter every family member from doing things that are not allowed and help to avoid internet theft opportunities. All of the major advertising agencies were once headquartered in The Big Apple, along well-known Madison Avenue in the heart of Manhattan’s financial district. If you watch the HBO show Mad Men (since acquired by some other network in syndication) you will see the fictional characters working at fictional companies on Madison Avenue, thus the term “Mad” Men. In the 50s and 60s the leading advertising agencies were all operated by guys and it was a total boy’s club that ladies weren’t allowed to enter, except as assistants or receptionists. These guys chain smoked at their tables the whole day and drank heavily each night while wining and dining clients at fancy restaurants and pubs.
Those days are long gone and many are glad for that, particularly ladies and minorities who at present play a much bigger role in today’s major advertising agencies. Things have changed dramatically in the last two decades. Graphic Designers were always dealt with like technical flunkies and were often not granted the opportunity to rise above Art Director position. All of the Creative Directors (CDs) came from the copywriting departments and once you were a CD, you could hope to make partner or V.P. with some years of extremely long hours and efforts under your belt.
Today’s major advertising agencies are ones that have made it in the age of the internet and have modified their services to suit the cyber world’s big demands. Thirty years ago advertising agencies did not even have computers. Typesetting was carried out manually with press on type that you bought at the Art supplies store. Typefaces were restricted and you must be very careful that you didn’t mess up or else you had to start once again. God forbid that the Account Executive or perhaps the customer changed the headline at the very last minute. Deadlines were extremely tight back in the former days and you had to manually crank out fifty to one hundred ads in one day (and all night) for distribution the next morning to the newspapers.
Of course these days all of the top advertising firms have got cutting edge computer systems, mostly Mac but a few PCs too. The employed small armies of Graphic Designers that use software like InDesign and Photoshop CS.
Most of the major advertising firms now also carry out online ads and that shows that the artists have to have proficiency in HTML, Flash, Dreamweaver, as well as other site building software. By being so technical several of the artistic side of the craft has surely suffered. But because the airwaves are slammed and stuffed with so many visuals and loud attention hogging banners, the leading advertising agencies have to be a little more imaginative than previously in their attempt to acquire their client’s message through to their target viewers. The majority of advertising campaigns cost a great deal that the ad agencies utilize focus groups to receive responses before spending any money.
Despite the fact that techniques and technologies have developed over time, the goal of leading advertising agencies around the globe have stayed the same and that is sell more products for their clients.
Social Media Marketing is definitely a great tactic to increase brand awareness, opportunities and sales of your business by means of social media channels as well as by doing visual demonstrations such as Video Marketing, which induces attention about the business and its products and services.
