Just recently I made the decision that I wanted to learn how to use WordPress to create niche websites and blogs. I had been looking around for a good guide on this subject for a while. I found a lot of trash out there. I needed something that could talk me through the basics, such as, how to install WordPress, all the way to, how to professionally promote my blog. A lot of guides just concentrate on making your site look good. Now thats important too. Don’t get me wrong, but there is much more to it than that. I am currently working on the WordPress Goldmine method. Have been for a number of weeks now, and I have to say, it’s fantastic. This Guide is a 127 pages of pure gold information. Every page goes into great detail on how to approach working with WordPress as a vehicle for creating niche sites/blogs. Not only have you got the book itself to follow, but there are over 20 video tutorials that complement the book very well, and go into great detail on various tips and tricks that cannot be missed. Trust me, I’ve viewed them several times already. Mark Thompson, the creator of WordPress Goldmine, has just added a forum to what is already an excellent package. Mark is always there to answer any questions that you may have. He’s already answered many of mine.

The book is broken down into 5 main sections,

1. This section covers the basics. How to install WordPress on your own web hosting account. If you’ve never done this before, it can be quite daunting. Mark explains it in an easy to understand way. It also explains working with themes.

2. A website is nothing without content. This part cover your options for content, and how to go about getting it. I found this section very useful to me.

3. You won’t make any money from a website unless you monetize it. this section tells you how to do that. Yet again priceless information here.

4. Unless you get up there in the search engine rankings, nobody will visit your site. No visitors means no money. This part covers blog promotion, and deals with this problem.

5. Ever heard of WEB 2.0?. If not your missing out on a golden opportunity to use web 2.0, as another means to get your site noticed. This section goes into great detail on many Web 2.0 strategies.

The impact that buying this guide has had on me has been unbelievable. The information is all bang up to date. No old information here. It has definitely turned things around for me. The price for all this is under $50. I think Mark is going to put the price up soon, So If you are looking for a no fluff guide that you can trust, I would very much recommend WordPress Goldmine.
